At KidsAbility, we help children, youth and families realize their full potential at home, at school, in childcare, and in their community. The SPOT Team at KidsAbility, part of the SNR Collaborative in Waterloo Region, strives to support child care staff and caregivers through consultation services to ensure an inclusive experience for children in care. Through use of resources, training, and consultation, SPOT supports children with physical, communication, behavioural, or developmental challenges – regardless of diagnosis or not. KidsAbility’s SPOT team works with you to identify the goals of the classroom or for a specific child, working together in collaboration with parents, to share recommendations and strategies to make these goals possible. Every child deserves the opportunity to participate fully in a way that is meaningful to them in all their environments. We will work with you to give you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to help make this possible.
The SPOT program offers consultative support by the following clinicians:
- Speech and Language Pathologists
- Occupational Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Recreation Therapists
- Instructor Therapists (providing behaviour support)
